About Joe:

I’m Joe Flanagan, and I believe the absolute best vacation is the one that is engineered perfectly for you.

My wife, Emily, and I are deeply rooted right here in Concord, North Carolina—you can usually find us at The Local Bottle Shop for Thursday trivia or catching up with neighbors across the street at The Nook and Percent Tap House.

We are also avid cruisers. Since Thanksgiving 2017, we have taken 16 cruises across Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line. Through these journeys, I’ve become deeply embedded in the travel community. What I love most is the human element—over the years, I’ve built lifelong friendships with incredible people I've met on the ground in Mexico and Honduras, as well as the crew onboard numerous sailings. I know firsthand that there is no single “best” cruise line—there is only the best cruise for you.

Before launching The Celtic Compass Travel Co., I spent over 20 years in corporate business operations, systems architecture, and heavy analytics. I was trained to look at complex situations, read the room, and completely eliminate friction. I bring that exact mindset to your vacation planning.
